If you do not live close to a hardware store, you can also order formica samples online. Remember to take home with you at least 10 Formica samples at a time, and seriously consider each one.
As stated in previous articles, it is important that the lighting that you are selecting your Formica in, is the same lighting that you will be seeing your Formica countertops and on a daily basis. Hold your Formica samples against the different colors in your kitchen. These colors can come from anything from your cabinets to your appliances, your painted walls and even the floors.
Do not rush your decision, after you have narrowed your selection down to maybe your top three or four picks, you should sleep on your decision overnight. When you wake up the next morning refreshed, look back over your top three decisions and then select one.
